The Come Back

I still have not got this blog thing figured out or in other words I have not gotten "hooked". I was hoping that I would just take off with it, but not yet.  I was hopeful because I thought it would be a nice and harmless way to express myself. When I was younger I wrote like a madwoman.  I don't write too much anymore and I wonder how much better I would feel spiritually if I could express whats deep inside in more ways.  My life is in the middle of big changes. I know life is ever-changing anyways, but right now things have been thrown out of comfort zones.  IN GOOD WAYS, but that dosn't mean it wont  feel...... somewhat weird? We both have decided that we have bigger goals and ambitions and instead of talking about them, we have started moving our feet.  Which is WONDERFUL!  My husband has started a business refinishing hardwood floors and I have a great feeling about it! http://www.wvfloorfinishers.com/Home_Page.html  He is so passionate about it I know he will take this dream to the stars and the moon.  I have finally deciphered the void inside my heart and got back into college and registered for classes. I have finally unveiled that I want to be a counselor. :)  In the past year I have been unbelievably and undeniably blessed in infinite ways. My husband and I married last May and now have 2 A M A Z I N G children.  We own our first house which we envision as a canvas ready for these artist's magic and colorful touch.  My husband, Ben and I have known each other for almost 10 years now...dating off and on. The other day someone asked me if things between us changed once we got married and I replied, "It made it sweeter."

HOME

UPCOMING:
We moved into our house in January of this year.  I have not got ANYTHING done and I feel like I am still using the excuse "we just moved in".  I want to start interior designing!!! I will take before and after shots and also shots through the middle and in the process.  I want to get started as soon as possible.
                                                 Stay tuned!!!

I like these colors together.  Notice the stripes on the wall also....creative..
Something about this room has a "crisp" feeling. Love the painting also.
I LOVE these little window seats!!! Maybe my husband can build me one at some point.
Here's what I'm thinking....
I really like the turquoise... our living room now has brown carpet, brown couches, brown paneling on the walls, and a grayish purple curtains the older lady had up when we moved in. It's so gloomy and it is my LEAST favorite room in the house, but we can change all that.
My thoughts so far are:
-take up the carpet and redo the hardwood floor and make it shiiinnee
-Keep the brown couches
- possibly take down the paneling and put up new sheetrock(sp) and paint the walls a light purplish/grayish color.
-paint the old wooden coffee table a black
-bring in turquoise accents
-build a bookshelf and add a closet
SO, in the end there will be colors of gray/purple, brown, black, white, and turquoise? Sounds good to me !  Let's get started ! The first thing I will need to do is run this by my lovely husband. He builds beautiful houses for a living and they decorate and do the insides as well, so he always has the BEST input!
So cozy...notice the stripes...

I just like this white and green for some reason..

This is SO me.. ;0)
This is a diva's bedroom.....what in the..?
Prime example of how good turquoise and red go together....something to think about..

Hoot

Birds of a feather hoot together
My future sister in law Andrea MADE these owls for my daughter Mary Taylor !! How cute !! Wish I could do something like this! The other lil pink thing is Mini Piggy.  My best friend since we were born Carly has a very old Piggy that, yes, she sleeps with every night.  She got this mini one when MT was born. <3 <3
